Anna Fournadzhieva holds a Master’s degree in Violin Performance, having studied under Professors Stoika Milanova and Eli Kazakova, as well as a Master’s degree in Chamber Music under Professor Zheni Zaharieva at the National Academy of Music in Sofia.
Her professional development has been further enriched by masterclasses in orchestral performance with conductor Daniele Gatti and in chamber music with Enrico Dindo in Trento, Italy.
Since 2003, Anna has served as the concertmaster of the Symphony Orchestra of the Varna State Opera. Since 2017, she has also been a permanent guest concertmaster of the Symphony Orchestra of the Ruse State Opera. Alongside her leadership roles in the orchestra, Anna actively pursues solo and chamber music engagements.
As a soloist, Anna has performed with leading orchestras across Bulgaria. Notable performances include:
Johannes Brahms’ Violin Concerto with the Symphony Orchestra of the Varna State Opera (2015)
Johann Nepomuk Hummel’s Concerto for Violin and Piano (Bulgarian premiere) with pianist Todor Petrov, Symphony Orchestra of the Varna State Opera (2017), with the performance also released on CD
Ludwig van Beethoven’s Triple Concerto for Violin, Piano, and Cello in Varna (2019)
Johann Graun’s Concerto for Two Violins and Chamber Orchestra & Alfred Schnittke’s Moz-Art à la Haydn at the Days of Chamber Music Festival, Gabrovo (2020)
Sergei Prokofiev’s Violin Concerto No. 2 with the Symphony Orchestra of the Varna State Opera (2021), Sinfoniéta Vratsa (2022), and Sinfoniéta Shumen (2023)

In addition to her orchestral and solo career, Anna is deeply committed to chamber music. In 2005, she founded the Arte String Quartet, with which she has performed over 40 concerts, including numerous world premieres.
As a concertmaster and chamber musician, Anna has been invited to perform in Italy, Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, and other countries, collaborating with esteemed ensembles and musicians.
