MIGUEL ROMEA
Miguel Romea is widely regarded as the Maestro of Maestros. Hundreds of conductors have trained under his guidance, many of whom have achieved remarkable success in the world of orchestral conducting. As the founder of the MROCI (Miguel Romea Conducting Institute), he warmly welcomes you to the third edition of the Orchestra Conducting Course and Competition in Vratsa, Bulgaria.
Along his career as orchestra conductor, lasting more than 25 years, he has conducted almost every orchestra in Spain, among others:
Spanish National Orchestra and Chorus, Spanish Radio Television Orchestra, Malaga Philharmonic Orchestra, Madrid Symphonic Orchestra, Madrid Community Orchestra and Chorus, Asturias Princedom Symphonic Orchestra, Castilla and León Symphonic Orchestra, Córdoba Orchestra, Sevilla Royal Symphonic Orchestra, Valencia Orchestra, Bilbao Symphonic Orchestra, Navarra Symphonic Orchestra, Extremadura Orchestra, Andrés Segovia Chamber Orchestra, Reus Camerata XXI, Ensemble Enigma from Zaragoza y Spain Young National Orchestra.
He has also conducted a great number of young orchestras in Spain, Italy, Canada and Mexico, having been founder and main conductor of the Extremadura Young Orchestra along nine years.
He developed his international career in North America, Europe and Asia.
In addition, he has been Chief Conductor of the Beethoven Philharmonic of Campo de Criptana, and the Lira of Pozuelo.
Since 2009, he is Chief Conductor of the Verum Symphonic Orchestra, one of the main musical references among the private managed orchestras, playing in many different auditoriums in Spain with great soloists like: Plácido Domingo, Javier Camarena, Gregory Kunde, Dolora Zajick, Carmen Solis, Maria Bayo, Cristina Faus, Antonio Torres, Nancy Fabiola Herrero, Ana María Martinez or Arturo Chacón.
He has also participated in productions with Fura dels Baus, Orfeón Donostiarra, English National Ballet, Spain National Ballet, Dance National Company, Uruguay National Ballet, Víctor Ullate or Madrid Community Chorus.
