V VRATSA INTERNATIONAL CONDUCTING COURSE & COMPETITION

5–10 July 2027 · Vratsa, Bulgaria

The Vratsa International Conducting Course & Competition brings together a small international group of conductors for six intensive days of orchestral work, individual guidance and performance.

Led by Miguel Romea, the course places practical experience at its centre: active participants work extensively with the Vratsa Symphony Orchestra, receive direct artistic feedback and take their work from rehearsal to public performance.

The programme combines intensive training with an international conducting competition, while preserving what defines MROCI: time to conduct, time to learn and time to develop with a professional orchestra.

COURSE AT A GLANCE

Days 1-2

Class with Maestro Romea. Q&A session. On the first day, drawing of the repertoire that each active participant will conduct during the following days.
Exclusive practical course with the full Vratsa Symphony Orchestra for active participants. 20-25 minutes of podium time per day is guaranteed for each conductor.

Day 3

Competition day!

Days 4-5-6

Dress rehearsal for active candidates.

Final concerts, featuring a professional recording of the event that will be sent to each active participant.
Award ceremony.
